Dender sounds very similar to a more universal concept: "THUNDER".
Thunder is associated with ☳, the trigram called "Zhen" 震.
​It is a metaphor for when you find yourself in a blocked situation, in which you feel confusion and fear. The tension and pressure rise and rise, until suddenly, a shock, a shock, a lightning bolt, opens a way toward clarity and personal growth. It applies to most learning processes and I hope also to a Kung Fu school.
